Thank you for choosing LawnStarter! We are excited to have you join our team of Lawn Care Pros. This article is designed to guide you through our sign-up process with ease. Pros can access all of our brands through any of our apps which include: Lawnstarter, Lawn Love, & Home Gnome.

| Important Note If you have both a LawnStarter and Lawn Love account, you will need to fill out a background check for both accounts. Previously, our background check company, CheckR, was blocking accounts with the same Social Security number. They are no longer doing that. |
Before You Begin
- You need to make sure you have the proper documentation readily available.
- Valid Driver's License or State-Issued ID
- Social Security Number
- EIN
- This is used only if you are setting up a business account.
- Pro must be at least 18 years of age
- Reside in an area LawnStarter operates
- Must have the proper equipment to serve the customers.
- The basic lawn mowing service includes mowing, weed eating, a soft edge, and blowing the grass clippings from the hard surfaces.
- Download the app to your mobile device.
Download the app

Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple store.
- Be sure to download the one that says Provider; not Customers.
- Select the green button that says Sign up for free.
Create an Account
- Select Sign up for free.
- On the Get Started screen enter your zip code, email, and phone number.
- Your email will be your login name.
- Select Next.
- Select Let's Go.
- Select Yes or No for the Work authorization. You must be allowed to legally working the U.S. to use our platform.
- Select Next.
- Select Yes or No to Do you have the equipment to perform basic mowing services?
- You must have a lawn mower, leaf blower, and string trimmer.
- Select Next.
- If you meet the requirements you will see You're a perfect fit!
Only a few more steps and you'll unlock exclusive access to view available jobs. - Select Next.
- On the Create Account screen enter your first and last name.
- Enter your Business Name.
- This is displayed to your Customers.
You will not be able to proceed without entering a company name.
- Enter your Business Address.
- Enter your Password.

Check the box to agree to the EULA, Lawn Care Service Agreement, and Stripe Connect Account Agreement.
- You and click on those individually to learn more about them.

Agree to the new policy which says:

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Text HELP for help. Text STOP to unsubscribe. I also agree to LawnStarter’s terms of service and privacy policy. Consent is not a condition of service.
- Select Create Account.
- To move on and fill out your account details, select View Dashboard.
Setting Your Starting Points
- On the Dashboard screen, select Starting Point (Start here)
- On the Starting Point screen, you can edit your General work days for your Main Crew.
- Select the notepad icon to edit your workdays.
- Press Apply.
- Select the notepad icon to edit your workdays.
- You may also choose One starting point for all work days:
- Select the notepad icon to edit your One starting point for all work days.
- Or you may choose Different starting points by work days:
- Select the notepad icon to edit your Different starting points by work days.
- Edit each workday's starting point using the notepad icon.
- Press Save.
- Edit each workday's starting point using the notepad icon.
- Select the notepad icon to edit your Different starting points by work days.
- If all your starting point information is set to your preference, press Save.
- You will see a screen that says: You set your service area!
You've unlocked exclusive access to view recent jobs. You're now four steps away from being eligible to claim your first job.- Press View Dashboard.
Enabling GPS
- From the Dashboard click GPS.
- On the GPS page read While Using the App.
- On the Location Services screen, press the dropdown arrows to review Frequently Asked Questions.
- Press Continue.
Damage Fee
- From the Dashboard, select Damage Fee.
- On the Damage Fee screen, press the dropdown arrow to review Frequently Asked Questions.
- Press Acknowledge.
- Select the days and click Apply.
- On the Damage Fee Acknowledged screen, press Next.
Entering Your Tax Info
- From the Dashboard screen, select Tax Info.
- From the Tax Info screen Select your Legal Entity Type.
- Your Legal Entity Type should match the type of your bank account.
- If your bank account is a Personal Account, you should choose Individual as the Legal Entity Type.
- If you have a Business Account, your Legal Entity Type should also be Business.
- Your Legal Entity Type should match the type of your bank account.
- Enter your Legal Name as it appears on your Social Security Card.
- Enter your Date of Birth.
- Enter your Social Security Number (SSN).
- Enter your Legal Address.
- This address is where your 1099 tax form will be sent. Make sure to provide a physical address as our payment processor, Stripe, does not accept PO Boxes.
- Select Save and Exit.
- On the Tax Info Completed screen, press Next.
Entering Your Bank Info
- From the Dashboard select the Banking dropdown.
- LawnStarter/Lawn Love uses Stripe to send you your weekly payments. All payments are processed on Mondays, and it typically takes 2 to 4 business days for funds to be released into your account.
- We may also use this information to verify your identity.
- On the Bank Info screen, select Link Bank Account.
- You can either choose to link your account automatically by selecting Agree and Continue or Enter Account Details Manually Instead.
- If linking your account automatically, select your bank. If you do not see your bank listed, type the bank name in the search bar.
- Log in to your bank's website using your username and password for your bank. Select Sign On.
- If you have multiple accounts, select which account you would like to receive your direct deposit in. It must be a checking account.
- Select Link Account.
- If you receive an error message, you can return to the Stripe agreement screen and select Enter Account Details Manually Instead.
- Enter your Routing Number.
- Enter your Account Number.
- Confirm your Account Number by entering it again.
- Select Continue.
- On the success screen, press Done.
- On the Bank Info Completed screen, press Next.
- If you completed the details in order, you should now be seeing a Welcome Video.
- At the end of your Welcome Video, you will see the Available Jobs screen.
Completing Your Background Check
- Once you complete your first job, you will receive a notification to complete a background check in the app.
- To complete it now, select Complete Now.
- This will take you to the Chekr site to complete your background check.
- To complete later, select Go to Dashboard.
- You will have 14 days to complete your background check.
- To complete it now, select Complete Now.
- Until you complete your background check, you will reminded on your Dashboard to complete it.
- This will tell you how many days you have left and can select Complete Now.
- Your status for your background check will say In Progress until it is completed.
- Once the background check is completed or needs further action, you can select Review background check results to see the status.
Passed

Action Needed
- Select Go to Chekr to see what information is needed to complete your background check.

Failed. You will no longer be able to work with LawnStarter/Lawn Love.
- You can select I Understand or Learn Why.
- If your background check is not complete in 14 days, your account will be paused meaning you will not receive any more job offers until you complete the background check. You will have the same options as in the beginning.
- Complete Now
- Go to Dashboard
- If you do not complete your background check within 14 days after you are paused, your account will be deactivated.
- To reactivate your account, select Complete Now to complete your background check.
- Select Complete Now again to complete your background check.
