Intro
LawnStarter encourages Pros to communicate with their Customers. Good communication builds a better relationship with Customers. We have features in the app to make messaging your Customers as easy as possible. This article guides you through our options for messaging your Customers in the app.

Before You Begin
- Log in to the app.
- If a Customer was taken off your schedule you will no longer be able to message them. You will only be able to view your previous conversations.
Messaging from the Inbox
- From the Tasks dashboard, select the Hamburger menu button on the upper left-hand side.
- Select Inbox.

Choose a customer to see your conversations.
- You will see every customer you have sent or received a message from.
- For new messages, you will see a notification that says New beside the name of your customer.
- If the Customer is no longer on your schedule you will not be able to message them. A banner will appear under the previous conversations that reads: You do not have an active conversation with this customer. This is an archive of your conversation.
- Type your message in the text box at the bottom of the screen.
- Note: you can also send photos by selecting the Photo icon.
- Click the Send button.
Messaging a Customer for the First Time
- From the Tasks dashboard, select the Hamburger menu button on the upper left-hand side.
- Select Customer Search.
- Type the Customer's name or address in the search bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Select the Customer when their name appears.
- Type your message in the text box at the bottom of the screen.
- Note: you can also send photos by selecting the Photo icon.
- Click the Send button.
Messaging a Customer from the Calendar
- From the Tasks dashboard, select the Hamburger menu button on the upper left-hand side.
- Select Calendar.
- Select the date the Customer is on your schedule.
- Select the House icon next to the Customers name and address.
- Select Message {customer's name} from the drop-down menu.
- Type your message in the text box at the bottom of the screen.
- Note: you can also send photos by selecting the Photo icon.
- Click the Send button.
